At the moment, L. Verbakel, together with Wijnen machines and Twan Teurlings of Total Pigfarmers Management, is busy testing an entirely new Verba computer-controlled Variomix Dryfeeder. This Variomix has been specially developed for farrowing, piglet and meat pig pens. After successful trials, we have now reached the third test phase.
A unique feature of this new Variomix is that the water and dry feed are dispensed into the feeder at the same time, resulting in an optimal water to feed ratio. Water and feed can be set exactly in the computer via a curve. Another special feature of this new Variomix is the playful way in which the piglets learn to handle dosed feeding. The first test results are truly amazing.
At the LIV 2016 in Venray we are going to present the new Variomix to the general public. To be continued.
