In 1971 L. PT1 kel B.V. started making stables and feed boxes from Bert PT1 kel's home-based workshop. Because the company grew out of its jacket, L. PT1 kel B.V. has since 1978 with a business hall located on the industrial site in Nijnel, where we are still located. Over the years, adjacent buildings and plots have been purchased and built in different phases. The last major renovation dates back to 2002 when the offices and the stainless steel hall were completely replaced. Since L. PT1 kel B.V. grows further, but also the neighbour Marc PT1 kel with his company KLV (Art fabric Lastechniek PT1 kel) grows further, it is necessary to replace some of the old halls with 1 large new hall. This hall will be about 60 meters wide and 40 meters deep, with a height of around 8 meters on the gutter side. Since 2016 we have been working on these plans.
In early 2018 a start was made with an internal renovation, creating more production space in the permanent hall. Then, around the summer all the machines from the plastic department were moved to the stainless steel department. Before the demolition could be started, the sea containers and the outdoor stock had to be temporarily moved to a storage site on the same industrial site as where we are located. Then the old halls could be completely demolished. Early January of this year, the foundation and pudding were placed in front of the new hall. After this the firm Hardeman from Veenendaal will set down the hall.
We expect the new hall to be fully ready around April/May 2019. Since this new hall is going to contain supplies in particular, our large stock of PE plastic will be in place instead of outside, as has been the case for years now. As a result the plates no longer need to be acclimatized and we can also store a larger supply of feed beacons that will improve the production and delivery speed.
In order to achieve this, we have asked our fellow Members for a great deal of flexibility and cooperation, and we are proud that they are fully involved in this. When the hall is complete in a few months then we can look back proudly what we got done with each other.
